Therapy & approach

A Personalised Approach to Psychological Therapy

My approach is warm and collaborative. I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies and relational approaches, depending on individual needs and experiences.

I recognise that emotional difficulties do not happen in isolation and are often shaped by relationships, life experiences, and the pressures we place upon ourselves.

Together we can explore patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck.

Approaches

Therapeutic Approaches

I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on different psychological models depending on your needs, experiences and goals.

These include:

CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Exploring how thoughts, feelings and behaviours interact, and identifying patterns that may contribute to emotional difficulties.

ACT

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Developing a different relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, while focusing on what matters most to you.

CFT

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

Exploring self-criticism, shame and difficult emotions, and developing a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Relational

Interpersonal and Relational Approaches

Understanding how relationships, past experiences and patterns of relating to others can influence emotional wellbeing.

Narrative

Narrative Approaches

Exploring the stories and beliefs we hold about ourselves and considering alternative perspectives that support change.

Trauma

Trauma-Focused Approaches

Recognising how difficult or traumatic experiences may influence emotional wellbeing, relationships and responses to everyday situations.

Strengths

Strengths-Based Approaches

Recognising your existing strengths, resources and resilience, and building on these throughout therapy.

Rather than using the same approach with everyone, we will work together to identify what feels most appropriate and helpful for you.
